Chelsea FC : Potter Out or In?

Chelsea fans all around the world have only a single question on their mind and that is how many matches more do they have to suffer under their underperforming manager Mr. Graham Potter. After 24 game weeks Chelsea find themselves 10th in the premier League Table which means they are 14 points away from Top four and a mere 10 points away from the relegation zone.

No one would have saw this coming after the major spending in the January Transfer Window by their new American owner Mr. Todd Boehly. Still to this day regardless of their recent performances it is considered to be one of the graetest transfer windows of all time by various football pundits. To give a recap Chelsea spent a total of 323 million pounds on signing eight players with an average age of just 20.6 which could be one of the reasons why they seem to struggle a bit this season. Additionally the club has also secured the signing of the exciting young french talent Christopher Nkunku from R.B. Leipzig who is believed to be joining the club in the summer.

Since then Chelsea have underperformed massively by securing just a single win against Crystal Palace followed by disappointing draws against Liverpool , West Ham and Fulham. What really caused the fans to turn on their manager Potter was their 0-1 defeat against Southampton at home who seem to be destined for relegation as they stayed bottom of the table even after those three points against the mighty Chelsea F.C. Things got even worse after an abysmal performance against their local rivals Tottenham Hotspur who won by 2 goals to nil even without their manager on the touchline.

Graham Potter seems to be under immense pressure from the fans but recent reports suggest that the manager is likely to get full backing and support from the owners until the end of the season. The previous owners at Chelsea have said to have this tradition of sacking the managers early and ruthlessly if they don't bring the results in. According to many fans this is one of the major reasons why Chelsea have been so successful across Europe especially under their previous owner Mr. Roman Abramovich. Will Todd Boehly need to adhere to the same policy to get Chelsea back where they belong? is the the question that still remains unanswered.
